Case

Matterport Americas

The largest region of a company that grew from $46M to $111M, hardware to SaaS, through a Nasdaq debut.

Role ·
Vice President, Americas
When ·
Dec 2019 to Feb 2022
Milestone ·
Nasdaq debut, July 2021

The situation

Matterport sold a 3D camera and a subscription to the digital twins it produced. The Americas was the largest region, the market was moving from one time hardware sales to recurring software and the company was preparing to go public through its merger with Gores Holdings VI.

What I led

The Americas revenue organization: inside and field sales, channel and the commercial plan the region carried into the listing. Moved the region's selling motion from hardware to subscriptions and digital twins across real estate, retail and construction.

What changed

Company revenue grew from $46M to $86M to $111M (2019 to 2021) with the Americas as the largest region, and the region carried through the July 2021 Nasdaq debut and the $2.9B merger with Gores Holdings VI.
